The U17/U20 team clinched promotion from Division 2 of the Youth Development League after winning the most recent meeting at Cleckheaton and a successful campaign overall.

Congratulations to the team manager Maxine Philips and thanks to all who have helped with the team and acted as officials at the various meetings.

Andy Heyes finished 2nd in the BMC A 1500m in 3:46.58. After ab opening lap by the pace maker that was much too fast, Andy did well to hold on to 2nd place.
Connor Milnes, running his first serious 3k on the track, finished 4th in the Northern Athletics U20 championships. With 5 runners still in contention at the bell, Connor took the lead at the bell but just missed out in the sprint to the line, finishing in 8:50.48.
Adam Dyson ran a season’s best in the B 3k, running strongly to finish 7th in 9:08.83.
Mat Hobbs ran a season’s best to finish 5th in the 1500m in 4:09.30.
Charlotte Slack finished strongly in her heat of the 800m to take 4th in 2:18.31.
Cameron Bell ran his second fastest 800m, very close to his pb, finishing 9th in 1:57.40.
Caitlin Tevendale was also 4th in her heat in 2:22.99, battling to get past some senior men in the last 200m.
David Lewis was very positive in the U15 1500m, running two fast opening laps, eventually finishing 8th in 5:00.82.

Congratulations to Tilly Simpson on winning the silver medal in the JG 800m with a new pb of 2:12.06. Tilly had won her heat on Friday with a then new pb of 2:12.98.
Oscar Bryce finished 10th in the IB hammer with a throw of 49.98. Essa Ahmed was 6th in his heat of the 800m in 1:58.40.
Jacques Etia was 7th in his heat of the JB 100m in 11.63.
