One
of the North’s premier running clubs, "Hallamshire Harriers Sheffield is a
club for athletes of all abilities, irrespective of age, gender, disability,
race, ethnicity, religion or political view."
We are a well established athletics club "helping to provide athletics for all"
for any ability from 8 years to 80!
All are most welcome to any of our Club training sessions; Tuesday & Thursday 6:00pm to 7:30pm at;
Cross country & road running. All age groups &
abilities.
(The use of facilities @ Hillsborough Clubhouse (changing,
showers etc) are free of charge to club members.)

Coaching is provided free of charge in all athletics
disciplines, cross country/fell/road/track & field.
All Club Affiliated Coaches are qualified volunteers, holding a
current UK Athletics coaching license; which includes up to date CRB screening
checks to confirm their suitability for working in Athletics with young people.
Current membership fees for 2007 are; Senior Athletes £30, Young
Athletes (Under 18) £15,
Family group £50, Senior Athlete (Student/Non-working/Retired concession) £15.
Other concessions are available. Please check with our Membership Secretary,
Mike Theobald.
All new Young Athlete members receive a free Hallamshire Harriers T shirt on joining the club.
The club enters teams in a variety of competitions for all ages
and abilities throughout the year at local, regional and national level
including; Cross Country, Road Running, Track & Field teams. Please check

As a club we are also involved in the promotion and organisation of athletics events within the city; including
the historic “Hallam Chase” and the “Lord Mayor’s
10k”, as well as regional athletic club events such as the Yorkshire Road
Relays and Cross Country fixtures.
We are keen to try and involve parents/carers
in the activities of our club and would like to invite you to our training
sessions where you can meet club officials, coaches, and athletes, to find out
more about us. HHS is currently working
toward attainment of the Sport England Clubmark
accreditation. This is awarded to clubs
by England Athletics, our governing body, when the club is able to demonstrate
that it meets their criteria as to playing programme;
child protection; sports equity and ethics; club management. Working toward this accreditation shows the
club takes these issues seriously and is striving to provide a high quality and
welcoming environment for everyone in the sport of Athletics.
If you are interested in athletics, whatever your area or level
of ability, please come along and see what we can offer. There is no obligation
to join until you are comfortable what we offer is right for you.
