Marathon

Tom Jenkins made a fine debut in the marathon going through halfway in 1:15.18 and finishing 60th in 2:31:42. Stuart Maycock was the second HHS runner home, 266th overall and 48th V40, in 2:42:52. Mike Sprot was only 17 seconds outside his pb, finishing 353rd in 2:44.45. Jon Slate also had a good run, improving his pb by 9 minutes, to finish 448th overall and 86th V40 in a time of 2:48.08. Carl Egdell was 535th in 2:50:22, only a minute outside his pb, Zak Mellard, on his marathon debut, was 667th in 2:53.17 with Mark Bentley also comfortably inside the 3 hour barrier, finishing in 2:55.24 (793rd) and improving his pb by 90 seconds. David Metham was 469th V55 with a time of 4:32.13.

Elaine Metham had a fine run, recording 3:46.28 to take 26th in W55 category.

Mini Marathon

Tom Bains was 29th in 15:25 in the Ui7M mini marathon over the last 3 miles of the marathon course. Fiona Bell ran well to take 22nd in the U17 W in 18:07. Charlotte Slack, recovering from illness, was 57th in the U15G race in 19:28. Imani Wilson had a very good run to finish 18th in the U13G race in 18:48, with Mary McCarthy also helping Yorkshire and Humberside to 7th in the team event finishing 34th in 19:16.
