Sheffield Open Cross Country 2016

Some good runs at the Sheffield Open this weekend, with the Under 11 girls having a large turn out and winning the team medal. Ruby Simpson had a good start for the girls finishing 1st in 5:40, with Emma Shipley not far behind coming 2nd in 5:45. Summer Ludlam finished 4th in 6:04. Megan Weaver came 8th in a time of 6:31, Bobbie Waugh came 10th close behind in 6:40 and Sophie Booker finished 15th in 7:29.

In the Under 13 Girls race, Holly Booker had a good race to finish 5th in a time of 11:27.

In the Under 13 Boys race, Morgan Grayson finished 6th in 12:37.

Hallamshire also won the team medal in the Under 15 girls race with Tilly Simpson leading the race in 1st with a time of 10:57. Kira Round finished 4th in 12:44 and Ellie Rogers came 6th in a time of 14:01.

In the Under 15 Boys race, Reece Allen came 2nd in 15:36.

Joseph Hutchesson finished 1st in the Under 20 Mens race in a time of 30:52.

In the Senior/Vet Men race Hallamshire won the team gold medal with Aidan Smith finishing 2nd in 37:26. Nicholas Barber came 6th in a time of 39:01 and Ben Beattie finished 9th in 39:53. Mike Sprot also counting in the team results came 11th in 40:58. Carl Egdell finished 14th in a time of 41:26.
